I just completed a four-hour phone call with Healant's (also laid off but still slaving like I am <g>) Director of Promotions. Hence my lack of reply to your IM. She and I have had a great deal of animosity over the last few months, and today (thank God) were able to name what bugged us, clear the air, and come up with ways to return to our previous highly productive relationship. So it was four hours well-spent. My head is spinning though :)
On a recent bookstore trip, the CT magazine leaped off the shelf and into my hands when I saw the "Good News for Witches" headline on the front page … so I'd already seen the articles you sent :) But now I've got them saved to my hard drive, so this is a good thing. I think it would be cool to go up to Salem. Maybe someyear.
I'm on a mission this weekend. I finally sorted through both storage buildings and got out all the books, all the tools, all the stuff associated with my past. Most of it I threw out. I know I went back and forth on the issue, and I still do … but what a great feeling it was when the trash man came. I saved out a few books that I considered to either be highly influential or valuable, and I'm going to burn them. Unfortunately (or maybe not <g>), because of where I live, I can't have a bonfire … so I'm going camping by myself this weekend. So I'll have a dual-purpose campfire. I'm going to put my athame at the bottom of the lake. I haven't decided what to do with the ring yet, but I'm sure I'll know what to do when the time comes. I've spent a lot of time thinking and praying about this, and came to the conclusion that I could think and pray forever about it … I need to act. So I'm taking care of the last of that business tonight.
Soooooo … hope things are ok with you … give your wife a big hug for me :) I've been praying a lot for the 3 of you! Got to run!
